Dialogue titled: The geopolitical crisis in Afghanistan in light of the Taliban’s return to power

The Institute of Politics and Society will hold a panel discussion next Wednesday (15-12-2021) entitled (The Geopolitical Crisis in Afghanistan in light of the Taliban’s return to rule 2021), in which researchers and experts will discuss the effects of the recent US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Taliban’s renewed control over international relations between regional and international powers Neighboring Afghanistan in light of the Taliban’s return to rule and the mutual influence between the Taliban and international powers, especially China and the United States, and future scenarios for the Taliban’s relations with these forces.

This session will focus on discussing the position assessment paper recently published by the Institute of Politics and Society, by Dr. Khaled Al-Shanikat
Discussions with experts and researchers will take place within the following themes:
1- Reasons for the American withdrawal from Afghanistan.
2- The repercussions of the US withdrawal on the international players in the region.
3- The repercussions of the withdrawal at the Afghan level.
4- The future direction of Taliban policy

This will be at the Institute’s premises at five o’clock in the evening.
