Sharif Shakir bin Zaid
The son of the former Jordanian Prime Minister Prince Zeid bin Shaker, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy of Political Science from the American University in Washington in 1984, since that, he has worked in the private sector in the fields of agriculture, tourism and investment as freelance work and board member of several specialized companies, among these he was chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Microfinance Company “Tamweelcom” in the King Hussein Bin Talal Institution until 2010.
Sharif Shaker is married and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. He worked with his mother recently to complete his father’s memoirs, rest in peace, the memoirs were published as the book that serves as an important reference in understanding Jordanian politics in the period between the sixties of the last century and the beginning of this current century.
Al-Sharif is the honorary chairman of the Politics and Society Institute (PSI), believing in the need to support scientific research, build youth capacities and disseminate the values of democracy, social justice, and the rule of law.
