Academic consultant
The Politics and Society Institute is looking for an experienced Policy papers consultant, under the supervision of the Program Manager, he/she will be responsible for the delivery and building capacities of Youth participants, this is a Consultancy position based in Amman, Jordan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs on policy paper .
- Create training materials, modules, and resources to enable participants to effectively focus on policy papers .
- Assess the specific training needs of staff, partners, and stakeholders related to policy paper.
- Customize training programs to address identified skill gaps and enhance capacity in policy papers.
- follow up with youth while developing policy papers and review policy papers, and approve final products that will be 6 policy papers on unified youth discourse towards the environment and climate change, justice and rule of law, civic engagement, political participation, integrity and transparency in the democratic process, and media and communications.
- Develop and implement methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- A Commitment to following up on participants’ activities during the project implementation period
- Regularly review and update training content to reflect evolving civic and political engagement .
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field ( Governance, political science, law, or a related discipline).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and delivering policy papers
- Comprehensive knowledge of policy papers.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse groups, both internal staff and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to promoting accurate reporting about participant progress in writing their policy papers .
