Charles Johnson

A former Research Intern with the Politics & Society Institute and senior at the University of Kansas (KU), where he is majoring in international studies, history, political science, and religious studies. These studies have centered genocide in the Middle East, culminating in Johnson’s history thesis, Holy War and Harems: American Media Discourse on Middle East Genocide, and a forthcoming international studies thesis on American identity and genocide. Johnson has published articles for the Atlantic Council’s MENA Source and the Jordanian Politics & Society Institute on US foreign policy and issues related to genocide in Iraq, Syria, and Palestine. Prior to his internships with PSI and the Atlantic Council, Johnson interned with the Druze Studies Project; the Council on International Educational Exchange in Morocco; and the Office of US Representative Sharice Davids.
