The Politics and Society Institute Launches “Ain,” a Trilingual Website Specializing in Israeli Studies

The Politics and Society Institute has launched Ain, a specialized online platform dedicated to the study of the Zionist movement and Israel. Available in Arabic, English, and Hebrew, the platform serves as a knowledge hub offering academic studies, policy papers, and analytical articles. It also monitors developments within Israel and examines their implications for Palestine, Jordan, and the wider Arab region.

The platform covers a broad range of topics, including Israel’s political system and political parties, security and military affairs, the Israeli economy, Israeli media, religion and state relations, and the history and ideology of the Zionist movement. It also addresses the Palestinian question, Israeli settlements, Jerusalem and the Hashemite Custodianship, Jordanian-Israeli relations, and Israel’s regional and international relations.

Ain aims to provide scholarly knowledge and critical analysis grounded in primary sources and informed by an understanding of historical, intellectual, and institutional contexts. Through this approach, the platform seeks to support researchers and interested audiences while contributing to informed public debate. Its content includes contributions from specialized researchers, alongside the scholarly output of the Adnan Abu Odeh “Ain” Program for the Study of the Zionist Movement and Israel.

The Institute launched the Adnan Abu Odeh Program for the Study of the Zionist Movement and Israel in early 2025 as a research and training initiative designed to develop a new generation of young Jordanian researchers specializing in this field. The program seeks to equip participants with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to produce rigorous research that contributes to understanding the Palestinian question, Jordan’s national interests, and regional developments.

The program combines the study of the historical and ideological foundations of the Zionist movement with an examination of Israel’s state structures, society, institutions, and political and security orientations. It also emphasizes the development of research, analytical writing, and Hebrew-language skills. Its activities include specialized lectures, discussion sessions, training in research methodologies, and the examination of Hebrew-language primary sources. Participants subsequently produce research outputs under academic supervision, contributing reliable, evidence-based knowledge to public debate and policymaking.

The Ain platform can be accessed at ain.politicsociety.org.
